Spinner size has to closely match the size of the desired prey, and also have in mind the behaviour of the trout which significantly changes throughout the year.
For example, at the beginning of the fishing season trout eat small amounts of food, but attack prey of larger dimensions. Under such conditions we need to provoke them in the very heart of their habitats with spinners number 2, 3 or 4, which need to swim very slowly, close to the floor.
Later, when the trout occupy feeding grounds in the river currents and are in full feeding activity, hunting a large number of smaller prey, the most effective will be spinners number 0, 1 or 2, which move quickly and close to the surface.
